3 Sisters 18th June 2006

Last weekends meeting at Three sisters was as always appears to be the case at this circuit a very eventful meeting. # 298 Luke Brackenbury had an unwelcome introduction to the circuit in practice due to a slight spill at Lunar bend, however after a good deal of generosity from people he managed to get his bike repaired in time for the first race.

The first race which was yet another wet race and was won easily by Adrian Sanders on his SRX 600 followed home by Andy Jackson X7 and Andy Wimpenny X7. Rob Eley decided for some reason not to run his GS1000 and instead raced his old GSX400 which had been lent to him by Karl Scott. Unfortunately Rob only completed two laps before the inevitable happened, an off at Paddock bend, leaving Dave Thornsby-Smith RD400 to finish in fourth place followed by Cass RD400. Who was followed home by Pete Boyles XJ, Karl Scott GPz750, Graeme Acott X7, Nigel Griffiths GS1000, Luke Brackenbury GSX1170, and Pete Scott RD400. Shayne Stocks failed to make the finish as his bike was only running on one cylinder due to electrical problems.

For the second race the rain had finally stopped and the track was basically dry but for some reason there was still very little grip on certain parts of the circuit. This race was again won easily by Adrian Sanders, Andy Wimpenny finished second from Andy Jackson from Luke Brackenbury who was now getting to know the track. He was followed home by Rob Eley on the repaired GSX400, from Shayne Stocks who's RD was running with a borrowed ignition. He was followed home by Karl Scott, Cass, Graeme Acott, Dave Thornsby-Smith, Pete Boyles, Nigel Griffiths, Dick Bradburn GSX1100 and Pete Scott.
