As the bike slid on, taking most of it's weight on the silencer and
crash bobbin, photographer Pete Wileman finally made a run for it. The bike then smashed into the
tyre wall with the engine still screaming, showering spectators in the stands with gravel. The cause is thought to be the carbs sticking open after a 4mm Allen bolt came loose. |
